Do you think wireless carriers will begin selling and subsidizing laptops to rev up demand for their new high-speed networks?

POS printers

by Cellularman on Feb 26, 2008

Hello Folks,

I will be implementing retail iq and would like to get some feed back on what kind of POS printers other stores are using. Currently I'm using QuickBooks POS and a thermal receipts printer for the sales receipts and a regular credit card machine that also uses thermal rolls. Now that I will be using retail IQ the sales receipts will contain a lot more info like rate plan, sim #, our return policy, do most of you guys use a regular laser printer and 8.5 x 11 paper? I'm also interested in using chase to integrate with retail IQ, would I be better off using a thermal printer for the credit card receipts in conjunction with the laser printer?

Thanks,

We tried the individual thermal printers... Too much money!! It was cheaper to go to the networked lasers in our smaller stores and networked cannon image runners in the larger stores. We are using Chase in our newest store to test it.

The chase module works fairly well.
