Do you think wireless carriers will begin selling and subsidizing laptops to rev up demand for their new high-speed networks?

Increase rates for text messaging

by Jane on Jan 9, 2008

How will consumers react to Sprint Nextel and Verizon’s text messaging rate increase from 15 cents to 20 cents per message?

This is a ploy by the carriers to aggressively gain data bundling and increase predictable revenues. It is very hard not to support this measure.... we get paid to sell it!

I think by now, consumers are so accustomed to text messaging and comfortable with it that they will just roll with it. Although not to the same extent, I liken it to gas prices. People complain when they go up but it's not like they stop driving.
