Verizon and Google Close to Mobile Search Deal
Date: Aug 22, 2008
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Verizon Wireless and Google are close to closing a deal that would see Google's internet search device for mobile devices integrated into Verizon's cell phones. They would each profit by splitting the revenue generated by any targeted mobile ads thats derived by using the user's search keywords.
If the deal goes through, Google would become Verizons default search service and replace Verizon's own search system
