Is Cox the Next Major Cell Phone Provider?

Cox paid more than $304 million in March for 22 licenses in the 700 MHz band and is expected to invest a total of $500 million in the wireless spectrum.  The company plans to offer a wireless service that integrates all the cable company's offerings into one device.

The plans will be simple but will integrate all their services into one device with a consistent cross-platform interface; and making the content and applications mobile.  Cox hopes to capture 20 percent market share.
