Although there is no Google Phone yet, Google announced it had developed a new mobile OS called "Android".  Android is Linux-based and open source, and aspects of the platform will be made available to handset manufacturers for free under the Apache license. 

Google has partners with Motorola, HTC, Samsung and LG.  This confirms the recent rumors that Google would not be developing the hardware of its own.
